Buddhism in a Nutshell is a 5-week introductory course, offered on Tuesdays, 7:00-8:30pm, March 14 - April 11, 2023. NOTE: This course is being offered in person at Kadampa Center only ~ an online option is not available at this time. In just five classes, we introduce you to the major terms and concepts of Buddhism, giving you a fast tour of the basics to enable you to take the next steps if you are interesting in learing more. Topics covered include the Four Noble Truths, different types of Buddhism (Theravada, Mahayana, etc.), how Buddha's teachings are presented in a gradual path, and a brief introduction to meditation. The course is based on the teachings found in the book, Buddhism in a Nutshell, by Lama Yeshe, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and Venerable Amy Miller.
