Celebrate Earth Day with the Environment Committee of the League of  Women Voters of Wake County!  You are invited to join their Timely Topics Talk: Tuesday, April 22nd from 12:00pm-1:30pm at Highland UMC

"Plasticized! The Plastics in Our Bodies and Their Effect on Our Health” will be presented by Michelle Nowlin, Clinical Professor of  Law and the co-director of the Environmental Law and Policy Clinic at  Duke University School of Law and the Nicholas School of the Environment, along with Dr. Jason Somarelli, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Duke University and Director of Research for the Duke Comparative Oncology Group.

Mindful Merchants, a Cary-based small business, will have a selection of sustainable items available for purchase, and light refreshments will be provided by Environment Committee members.  This event is free,
open to the public, and sustainable!  Please bring your own lunch and reusable water bottle!  Invite your friends as well!
