Membership Coordinator Role

Management of:

  • Greeters
  • Sunday Q&A meetings
  • Monthly New Member Meeting

Roles to Manage:

  • Greeters

- Train volunteers: 1 Jr & 1 Sr, may be a child or new member with a vested adult member
- Train Greeters to fill out shoe count form plus ancillary conditions, place in office door
- Monitor Welcome booklet availability 

  • Sunday Q&A meetings
    - Recruit and manage 2-3 Volunteers: Vested members 10-15 min talk from script
    - Manage schedule for volunteers

Responsibilities of Membership Coordinator:

Monthly New Member Meeting

  • Coordinator to lead Meeting 1x per month on designated Tuesday from 7-8:30 pm
  • Coordinator to lead Meeting 1x per month on designated Sunday from 12:15- 1:45 pm
  • Work with Center Manager (CM) for presence at meetings
  • Monitor Membership Handbook availability 
  • Membership form given out at meetings and returned to office door when signed 
  • Add new members into ‘the book’

Stewardship of New Members (create team for different tasks)

  • Welcome email via Constant Contact (automatic)
  • Follow-up email or phone call to welcome
  • Place new members into pathways (to be designed)
  • Invite New Members to classes
  • Invite to social gatherings
  • Instigate New Member social gatherings with Hospitality Coordinator
  • Introduce New members around on Sunday mornings

Stewardship of Existing Members

  • Instigate Member social gatherings with Hospitality Coordinator large and small
  • Build relationships

Quarterly Recognition of New Members

  • Work with Spritual Program Coordinator (SPC) and CM to develop plan

Managing Name Tags

  • Produce new name tags for each new member and place in name tag box
  • Email new member ‘name tag no available’

New Ideas to be created

  • Work with CM to develop system for pathways
  • Work with CM to develop communication board both monitored and tea room style
  • Write Welcome email for Constant Contact
  • Develop with CM or team, how to nurture un-contacted new members from 2-3 years ago
