Full-day Healing Retreat on Saka Dawa Düchen with Geshe Gelek and Geshe Sangpo |

Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 5:15 am - 2:00 pm (partially hybrid) Join us for any or all of a full-day retreat in which Geshe Gelek and Geshe Sangpo lead us in powerful, ancient healing practices that benefit the mind, body, and the environment in which we live. This last day of Kadampa Center's 2nd Annual Healing Retreat falls on the incredibly auspicious holy day of Saka Dawa Düchen, in which the merit of our positive actions is multiplied 300 million times! Please plan to attend onsite, in person if you are able to do so. For students who don't live locally and/or are unable to attend in person, please join us online via Zoom or YouTube for the Healing Puja and Prayers as well as the Closing Ceremony of the Mandala of Healing. |
SCHEDULE - SUNDAY, MAY 31
| 5:00 am | Center opens and students begin to arrive |
| 5:30 am | Geshe Gelek arrives and confers the Eight Mahayana Precepts (in person only) |
| after Precepts | Breakfast ~ provided by Kadampa Center |
| 9:30 am | Geshe Gelek offers a Refuge Ceremony with lay vows and optional bodhisattva vows (registration required, in person only) |
| 10:30 am | Healing Puja and Prayers, including a Medication Blessing - with Geshe Gelek and Geshe Sangpo (hybrid, except Medication Blessing) |
| 12:00 pm | Lunch ~ provided by Kadampa Center |
| 1:30 pm | Closing Ceremony of the Mandala of Healing (hybrid) |
| 2:00 pm | Take down the altar and its extensive offerings; reset the gompa ~ volunteers needed! |
HOW TO ATTEND

For those who live locally, Geshe-la requests that, if possible, you attend in person, onsite at Kadampa Center to receive maximum benefit of the Healing Retreat.

For those who don't live locally, please join us via Zoom, or Live Stream on YouTube (a non-interactive option).
