OPENING CEREMONY and CREATION of the MANDALA of HEALING

Wednesday, May 27, 2026   10:00 am (ET) prompt:  Join us for a brief (~15 mins) Opening Ceremony of the Mandala of Healing as Geshe Sangpo initiates the creation of the sand Mandala of Healing.   10:00 am - 5:00 pm (ET) - Kadampa Center will be open: Drop in anytime to observe Geshe Sangpo creating the sand Mandala of Healing; to learn more about sand mandalas and how they are created; to try out the hands-on mandala activities; to simply be in the presence of such a powerful holy object; and/or to do your personal meditation or Dharma practice.

Join us for the Opening Ceremony of the Mandala of Healing!  Geshe Sangpo, a resident teacher at Kadampa Center who specializes in the ritual practices of Tibetan Buddhism, initiates the creation of a sand mandala of healing during the Opening Ceremony.  This powerful ritual practice takes place over the course of four days, as Geshe Sangpo meticulously sprinkles sand to create the intricate patterns of the mandala.  The Mandala of Healing is a symbolic representation of the pure land of Medicine Buddha, a healing master whose practices are known to be one of the most powerful ways of overcoming disease and eliminating problems.
